Das Darmstädter Aushängeschild am Jazzpiano, Uli Partheil, hat die Zeit des ersten Covid-19 Lockdown genutzt und Musik komponiert, er beschreibt seine Musik als groovend, harmonisch anspruchsvoll. Seine Werke als auch Kompositionen anderer werden jetzt von diesem neuen Quartett in Szene gesetzt. Kammermusikalische, kontrapunktische Kommunikation auf höchstem Niveau.

whats jazz?
if you ask me: “damn – jazz is not an easy one – constantly moving, never standing still, hard to keep up what you gained and to develop new skills, specially in these times of 2022. For me it is also one of the most wonderful artforms. It is never done, it is never perfect, even the greatest ever – Sonny Rollins – who I met some years ago (see picture below) is still a very humble man, his quote backstage was: „well I still try everyday“ ”
